French Presidency Announces Cancellation of Fuel Tax Increases

The French presidency on Wednesday decided in a formal statement to cancel the recent increases in fuel and fuel taxes.

The French presidency confirmed that the increase is canceled, and that the decision does not mean suspension or suspension of tax increases.

This came after comments by French Prime Minister Edward Philippe that the stability of the country is the most important, and that his government is ready to cancel the tax increase if no solution is
reached with the protesters.
